First Letter!

The first letter from Elder Whetman was received on Sat., July 25. His companion is Elder Leavitt from a small town in Missouri. He is getting along great and is currently serving as District Leader. His letter was very positive and expressed gratitude to be serving the Lord.

Going to the MTC was quite a different experience this time. We pulled up to the curb and were met by a sister missionary. She asked Jordan's name, she found it on her list and then told us we had 1 minute to say good-bye. After a quick hug goodbye, two elders helped Jordan grab his luggage and then whisked him away. We then had to quickly move to make room for another car. Missionaries were everywhere and it was a great sight!

We met Jeremiah, Becca and Cameron in Provo and had lunch with them at Applebee's. We enjoyed visiting with them. (As you can see we are all waiting for the arrival of the newest member of our family, hang in there Becca!)

Jordan entered the MTC today at 1:00pm. He was set apart last night and we were on our way this morning at 8:30 am.
